About Mr. Wagnon
Scott Wagnon joined the faculty at Kamiakin High School as the Artistic Director for the Vocal Music Program in 2012. At Kamiakin, he directs three ensembles and two guitar classes. He is the chair for secondary choral music in the Kennewick School District, and the director of the Mid-Columbia Boys Choir. Choirs under his direction have toured regionally throughout the Pacific Northwest, and nationally to California.
Mr. Wagnon received his Bachelors of Music from the University of Oregon where he studied voice with Eric Mentzel, choral music education with Christopher Olin, and conducting/choral musicianship with Dr. Sharon Paul. Scott has post-graduate study in music research with Dr. Frank Diaz. In 2012 he received his Masters of Music in Music Education from the University of Oregon.
As a singer he is comfortable in Classical, Broadway, and Pop music. His recent roles include Feuille in Les Miserables. Mr. Wagnon is the recipient of the 2009 NW NATS Finalist Award. In the summer of 2010 he sang with the Oregon Bach Festival professional choir. He is a current member of the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers Chamber Choir and teaches voice lessons at Magnolia Studio in Richland.
